Oxfordshire Country Home

Home Technology Brief:

To transform a country home into a modern smart home through the installation of a high performing audio-visual, lighting, and CCTV system.

Briew Overview:

The design brief was to install audio visual technology throughout the two storey home including a SONOS system which would enable the client to listen to a vast amount of music.  A lighting and CCTV system, and network infrastructure was also required.

The client wanted the technology installed to seamlessly blend in with the interior design of their home, including with some of their bespoke joinery, and not obstruct any window views.  They also wanted the audio-visual aspects of the property to stretch through to every part of the property, including the exterior.

The client had encountered some problems in the past with unreliable internet networks, so we needed to provide a high performing network solution.

Inspired Solution:

Inspired Dwellings begun by drawing up AV and lighting designs. To ensure the technology seamlessly blended in with the interior design, TV bracket's and in-ceiling speakers were chosen. The Sky boxes were also hidden on a centralised rack. Our engineering team carefully fitted the smart television with a TV lift in the master bedroom to enable it to smoothly arise from bespoke joinery. With the touch of a button, the TV can be hidden allowing the client to wake up to the scenic countryside views.

Waterproof speakers were installed into the pool area and garden; perfect for entertaining in the summer season. The SONOS system – consisting of 10 zones – lets the client easily select the same or different music to play in various zones of the house.

An enterprise grade wired & wireless network was fitted to ensure comprehensive coverage in a large countryside home. The client can now work from home or stream media efficiently.
